Waiver of Liability and Alcohol/Substance Statement:

Alcohol/Substance Policy:

Each member who participates in any NCSC activity does so at his or her own discretion and risk. NCSC will not be held liable for any damage, loss or injuries which may occur, directly or indirectly, as a result of such participation or attendance, including, without limitation, the attendance of functions at the home of a NCSC member.

Each NCSC member and guest expressly releases and holds NCSC and each other member harmless and shall indemnify same from all damages, claims, expenses or losses of any nature incurred or caused as a direct or indirect result of your membership and participation in NCSC and its related activities, other than to the extent resulting from NCSC's or such other member's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

In an effort to ensure the safety and enjoyment of NCSC members at all of our events, it has been suggested that an alcohol/substance policy be clearly established, stated and enforced. Therefore, all NCSC members and their guests agree to comply with all applicable laws related to the consumption and distribution of alcohol/substance, act responsibly in the consumption of alcohol/substance, and assign a designated driver or make other transportation arrangements when needed. Attendance at any NCSC event will serve to demonstrate your consent and acceptance to the aforementioned terms and conditions.

Limitation of Liability:

Under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special,

or consequential damages that result from your use of NCSC facilities or materials, participation in any activities relating to NCSC and/or use of this website. We encourage all members to use their best discretion and to monitor the behavior and whereabouts of any of their guests at all events.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, including attorney fees, exceed the greater of either $100 or the membership amount paid by you, if any, for joining NCSC.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time and without notice. Please check these terms periodically for changes. Your continued use of this site and participation in or attendance at NCSC events or activities, following the posting of changes to these terms, will mean you accept those changes.

Code of Conduct

The New Canaan Social Club maintains a zero tolerance towards threatening, offensive or obscene language or actions at any events. Members or Guests using excessive use of threatening, offensive or obscene language at events or acting in a manner that causes discomfort or offense to other Club members or guests, may be required to leave the related Club event or activity.
